The Poughkeepsie NY Office of Modjeski and Masters Inc. is seeking students interested in an internship focused on Bridge Design and Analysis.

• Working towards a BS degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited college or university
• Ideal Candidate will have completed at least two of following coursesConcrete Design Steel Design; Prestressed Concrete Design; Structural Analysis.

• Assisting in the review and verification of standard structural design calculations.
• Supporting the structural analysis and design of bridge components using engineering software tools.
• Helping develop preliminary design details using CAD software and providing input to CAD technicians for contract plan development.
• Contributing to design reports by compiling relevant technical information.
• Communicating effectively in English both verbally and in writing in a professional engineering environment.
• Reviewing and checking engineering drawings under the close supervision of a Senior Engineer.
• Gain exposure of structural analysis and design software such as LUSAS RISA-3D LEAP Bridge AutoCAD and MicroStation.
• Learning and applying relevant design specifications and standards including AASHTO AREMA AISC and ACI.

As a Bridge Design Engineer with Modjeski and Masters you will work on a variety of challenging and rewarding bridge engineering projects for a myriad of transportation clients.
