Job Summary
Who We Are
We are a growing paving concrete and earthwork contractor seeking a motivated and experienced Civil Engineer to join our team. We specialize in site development grading excavation underground utilities concrete construction asphalt paving and public and private infrastructure projects.
This position offers an opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects while collaborating with project managers field supervisors subcontractors and clients throughout every phase of construction.
- Prepare accurate quantity takeoffs for earthwork concrete asphalt and site development projects
- Review plans specifications geotechnical reports and contract documents
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and bid proposals
- Assist with project scheduling budgeting and contract administration
- Support project managers with submittals RFIs change orders and project documentation
- Coordinate with field personnel to ensure projects are completed safely on schedule and within budget
- Track project costs and assist with monthly reporting
- Participate in preconstruction meetings and site visits
Qualifications
- Experience in estimating project engineering or project management within the construction industry
- Knowledge of grading excavation paving and concrete construction practices
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Experience with estimating software is preferred
- Strong organizational communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Valid drivers license and reliable transportation
- With 5 years of experience salary can be negotiable
