Civil Engineer in Training

As a Civil Engineer in Training you will join our Denver office to produce construction documents for civil site projects working onsite alongside our design team. What does this role involve day to day You will use AutoCAD Civil 3D and Bluebeam to draft site plans prepare engineering calculations and research jurisdictional requirements all under the guidance of a senior engineer.

What will you create You will help produce plans specifications and technical memorandums for site systems and water and wastewater design across a variety of building construction projects. Our Denver civil group is growing so this is a chance to help shape that growth while building your own technical foundation.

What does success look like in year one You will be comfortable producing accurate construction documents contributing engineering calculations that require minimal revision and supporting construction administration tasks including onsite field observation with growing independence.

The expected salary range for this position is $75000 to $82000 annually.

• ABET accredited degree in Civil Engineering
• Minimum of 2 year of related job experience within the US
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D Bluebeam Outlook and Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to apply engineering concepts to real world applications
• Strong written and verbal communication skills including technical writing
• Ability to perform basic engineering calculations
• Solid understanding of civil engineering fundamentals

• Has passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam

• Support licensed project engineers on the design of civil site projects
• Plan layouts for small scale projects and coordinate deliverables across departments
• Research jurisdictional requirements to inform project design decisions
• Prepare project plans and specifications using AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office
• Perform engineering calculations to support project design
• Draft technical memorandums and reports summarizing findings and recommendations
• Support construction administration including onsite field observation

*Actual pay will be determined based on the candidates years of experience licensure status location level of proficiency and other job-related factors (as permitted by law). This position is also eligible for an annual performance bonus.
