Cantio Hotel Full-Time Exempt
About the Role
Cantio Hotel is seeking an experienced Chief Engineer to lead all aspects of hotel maintenance safety and building operations. This key leadership position is responsible for ensuring the property equipment and systems operate efficiently while delivering an exceptional guest experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily maintenance operations for guest rooms public spaces grounds and back-of-house areas.
- Manage preventive maintenance programs and capital improvement projects.
- Maintain and troubleshoot HVAC plumbing electrical fire/life safety pool refrigeration and mechanical systems.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA fire safety environmental and local building regulations.
- Lead train schedule and develop the maintenance team.
- Manage departmental budgets inventory vendor relationships and contractor performance.
- Respond to maintenance emergencies and ensure prompt resolution of guest service issues.
- Support energy management and asset preservation initiatives.
Qualifications
- 3 years of progressive maintenance or engineering experience preferably in hospitality.
- Previous supervisory or management experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC plumbing electrical mechanical and life-safety systems.
- Hotel maintenance experience strongly preferred.
- EPA Refrigerant Certification CPR/First Aid certifications are a plus.
- Valid drivers license required.
