Job Description:
At Elara Caring we believe the best care happens where people live. We are seeking an experienced Chief Compliance Officer to lead our enterprise compliance privacy and regulatory functions.
Reporting to the General Counsel this role serves as a key advisor to executive leadership and the Board of Directors providing strategic oversight of compliance and privacy programs regulatory risk investigations and organizational ethics.
- Make an impact at the enterprise level across a national healthcare organization.
- Partner directly with executive leadership and the Board of Directors.
- Lead compliance strategy in a highly regulated healthcare environment.
- Support organizational growth acquisitions and integration efforts.
- Lead and develop an experienced team of compliance professionals.
- Lead and oversee Elara Carings Compliance and Privacy Programs.
- Identify assess and respond to organizational compliance and regulatory risks.
- Lead the annual compliance risk assessment and compliance work plan.
- Advise senior leadership and the Board on compliance privacy ethics and regulatory matters.
- Serve as management representative to the Board Compliance Committee.
- Oversee government inquiries investigations regulatory responses and internal compliance matters.
- Ensure regulatory changes are communicated and incorporated into organizational policies and procedures.
- Provide leadership to compliance audit licensing regulatory and privacy teams.
- Support compliance and privacy due diligence and integration activities related to growth and acquisitions.
- Promote a culture of integrity accountability confidentiality and ethical business practices.
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration Compliance or a related field; Masters degree preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of healthcare corporate compliance experience.
- Minimum 8 years of management or leadership experience.
- Home health or hospice experience preferred.
- Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) and healthcare privacy certification preferred.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations compliance risk investigations privacy fraud and abuse and regulatory oversight.
- Strong executive communication leadership critical-thinking and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work effectively with senior executives Boards of Directors and cross-functional business partners.
- Ability to travel periodically for meetings and onsite compliance support.
