Chemical Loading Operator Hopewell

Position Summary: The Chemical Loading Operator works as part of a rotating shift team and is responsible for the safe and efficient transfer of liquid bulk chemical products to and fromtank trucks and of the Main Responsibilities:Adhere to standard work and standard operating procedures to ensure unit safety quality and production goals are metResponsible for safely operating heavy equipmentThe ability to handle and work with highly hazardous chemical intermediatesAbility to wear and work in full body PPE (personal protective equipment) which includes acid suit (acid jacket & acid pants) full face respirator and hoodAbility to handle changing plant priorities and site needsAbility to load and unload bulk liquid chemical trucks and rail carsRequired Qualifications:High School Diploma or equivalent requiredStrong written and verbal communication skills and computer skillsExperience in a manufacturing industrial and/or chemical plant environment preferredAdditional Qualifications:Chemical and/or Industrial work environment experienceAbility to work in a team environmentAbility to operate a fork truckAbility to perform the physical labor associated with the jobPossess a strong work ethic and initiative to learn new processesAbility to work at elevated heights - greater than 50 feetAbility to work in confined spacesDemonstrated ability to deliver a safe workspace based on following standard workDemonstrated ability to troubleshoot and take corrective action within an industrial settingAdvanced troubleshooting skillsDemonstrated ability to communicate through multiple layers of an organizationThe hourly rate for this position is $20.32
