Chemical Engineering Co-Op

In this role you will work under the guidance and assistance of experienced engineers to support capital project execution and continuous improvement efforts for manufacturing sites.

Co-op Program Dates:

Spring Co-op: January 11 2027 June 11 2027

Fall Co-op: May 17 2027 or June 14 2027 December 10 2027

The primary responsibilities of this role are to:

• Participate as a project team member for low to medium complexity capital projects;
• Assist in the development of project design requirements and assemble estimate information;
• Support design package development including drawings process information vendor data and specifications;
• Support project commissioning and checkout;
• Assist in engineering efforts to support plant operations.

Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:

• Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering;
• Candidates should be in their junior or senior year of an accredited degree program;
• Strong written and verbal communication skills;
• Strong problem-solving skills;
• High degree of personal initiative;
• Excellent organization and planning skills;
• Ability to work effectively on a team and in a diverse environment.
