Chaplain
Job Summary
Monday - Friday Morning Shift - 20 hours per week
Pay Range: $27.66-$34.57/hr
Spiritual Care Delivery
- Provide compassionate individualized spiritual care to patients families and staff.
- Facilitate support during illness crisis grief and end-of-life situations.
- Ensure respect for diverse religious and cultural beliefs within care.
Assessment and Documentation
- Assess spiritual and religious needs including spiritual distress and ethical concerns.
- Develop and implement care plans with appropriate interventions or referrals.
- Document spiritual assessments interventions and outcomes in the electronic medical record.
Interdisciplinary Collaboration
- Serve as an active member of the healthcare team contributing to holistic care planning.
- Partner with clinical staff to address spiritual dimensions of patient care.
Program Development and Education
- Develop and support spiritual care programs aligned with organizational goals.
- Educate staff on recognizing and responding to spiritual needs.
- Promote workplace spirituality and staff well-being initiatives.
Religious and Community Engagement
- Facilitate prayer worship sacraments and meditation opportunities.
- Collaborate with community clergy and faith leaders.
- Support and maintain sacred spaces.
Professional Practice
- Uphold ethical legal and organizational standards.
- Participate in ongoing self-care professional development and formation.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of spiritual care services.
Minimum Qualifications
- Masters degree in theology Religion Spiritual Care or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 13 years of spiritual care experience including 4 Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE).
- Board Certified Chaplain (preferred).
- Strong interpersonal communication and clinical documentation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
- Proficiency with electronic documentation systems and standard software tools.
Work Environment
- Fast-paced healthcare setting with emotionally complex situations.
- Requires adaptability resilience and strong organizational skills.
- Involves travel between care sites.
