Job Summary
Adelphi is seeking a qualified Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide school occupational therapy support services in a school setting in San Antonio Texas .
The ideal candidate will assist/provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services adaptive equipment support and IEP-related documentation to students in accordance with school district requirements while supporting student health safety and continuity of care.

Rate: $40-$45/hr
Requirements:
National Board Occupational Therapy Certification or Texas Occupational Therapy Certification (or equivalent) for Occupational Therapy Assistant.
Current CPR/BLS certification preferred.
Previous school-based pediatric or public school OT assistant experience preferred.
Responsibilities:
Plan and provide direct and consultative OT services consistent with goals outlined in students IEPs.
Assess students and plan therapeutic intervention to maximize physical/mental functioning and independence.
Participate in Admission Review and Dismissal (ARD) Committee meetings to assist with assessment interpretation placement and goal setting.
Evaluate student progress and determine readiness for termination of OT services in consultation with the supervising Occupational Therapist.
Design construct and alter adaptive equipment and devices to promote maximum student independence.
Consult with educational staff parents and administrators regarding occupational therapy needs and programming.
Provide staff development/training to school personnel on selection and use of adaptive equipment.
Maintain auditable student records and compile/file all required reports and documentation.
Comply with District dress code administrative guidelines and compliance policies.
Any other duties as assigned.
