Pay Rate: $44.00 per hour

Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate dependable and experienced Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join a long-term care/skilled nursing facility in Gunnison Colorado.

The CNA will provide direct patient and resident care under the direction of licensed nursing staff. This position is responsible for assisting residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) mobility personal hygiene safety and routine care while maintaining a clean and comfortable environment.

The ideal candidate will have recent CNA experience in a long-term care (LTC) skilled nursing facility (SNF) nursing home or similar post-acute care setting and be comfortable working 12-hour night shifts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide compassionate person-centered care to long-term care residents.
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing dressing grooming toileting feeding and personal hygiene.
  • Provide nighttime care and assist residents with evening and overnight routines.
  • Assist residents with bed-to-chair transfers and other mobility needs using appropriate safety techniques.
  • Reposition and turn residents as required to promote comfort and help prevent pressure injuries and skin breakdown.
  • Assist residents with safe ambulation and mobility.
  • Monitor residents for changes in physical condition behavior comfort and overall well-being.
  • Report changes in resident condition behavior or vital observations promptly to the supervising nurse.
  • Follow established nursing procedures care plans facility policies and safety protocols.
  • Maintain resident dignity privacy comfort and confidentiality at all times.
  • Assist with maintaining a clean safe sanitary and organized resident environment.
  • Follow infection prevention and control procedures and standard precautions.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care provided as required.
  • Work collaboratively with RNs LPNs/LVNs nursing staff and other members of the healthcare team.
  • Respond appropriately to resident needs and emergencies within the scope of the CNA role.
  • Perform other CNA and patient-care duties as assigned by nursing leadership.
Required Qualifications
  • Active and unencumbered Colorado Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of recent CNA experience.
  • Recent experience in Long-Term Care (LTC) Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) nursing home or post-acute care preferred/required.
  • Ability to work 12-hour night shifts.
  • Must successfully complete the required Colorado Adult Protective Services (CAPS) background check before onboarding.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to provide compassionate and respectful care to elderly and/or medically complex residents.
  • Ability to safely perform transfers repositioning ambulation assistance and other physical duties associated with CNA work.
Rural Location Requirement

This position is located in Gunnison CO on Colorados rural Western Slope.

Important: Public transportation is limited/unavailable for accessing the facility. Candidates must have reliable personal transportation and be able to consistently report to scheduled shifts.
