Description
Qualifications
- Load and unload the necessary equipment as well as assist the onsite crew with various tasks as needed
- Willing to help on site crew with various tasks when not behind the wheel
- Directing traffic to avoid disturbing the asphalt work
- Clearing the area of all equipment and machinery upon work completion
- Operate and control paving machines to maintain a constant flow of asphalt and other materials
- Ensure all tools are organized and accounted for daily
- Installation and application of any other materials including line removal
- May operate trucks to transport equipment to and from production sites as required and assist in the maintenance of all equipment
- Maintain safe work area and comply with safety procedures while performing the work
- Always conduct business with the highest standards of personal professional and ethical conduct
- May participate in any variety of meetings and work groups to integrate activities communicate issues obtain approvals resolve problems and maintain specified level of knowledge pertaining to new developments requirements policies and regulatory guidelines
- Follow all policies and Standard Operating Procedures as instructed by Management
- Report any accidents/incidents to the Foreman Superintendent or Human Resources Manager
- Perform or assist with any range of special projects tasks and other related duties as assigned to maintain workflow and meet schedules
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalency required and 1-2 years of related; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must have a valid Class A CDL drivers license with experience driving commercial vehicles
- Minimum of 2 years experience required
- Experience in Construction
- Clean Driving Record
- Ability to lift 40 pounds
- Ability to use heavy equipment
- This position works under outdoor conditions and exposed to elements including but not limited to weather chemicals odor and environmental conditions. The employee must be able to work in an upright standing position for long periods of time as well as perform tasks that require physical labor including lifting bending digging climb reach with hands and arms use muscles to lift push pull or carry heavy equipment work in difficult positions and lift up to 60 lbs. The incumbent must be able to detect auditory and/or visual emergency alarms.
