Transportation of customer owned baking pans from bakery and return to bakery. Work primarily involves the safe operation of a three axle tractor and trailer unit. This position reports to the Plant Manager.

Position Details:

Routes throughout Southwestern U.S. - Arizona California and Utah

Approximately miles per week - Slip Seating

What were looking for:

Valid CDL license (Class A)

Proven driving experience and Clean driving record

Reliable punctual and able to work independently

Primary Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

Safely operate a tractor-trailer (three-axle) to transport and deliver customer-owned baking pans to and from bakeries
Inspects truck before and after trips and submits reports indicating truck condition to Plant Manager.
Coordinates work assignment designations with Plant Manager.
Loads unloads or assists in loading and unloading truck.
Performs PM services on truck relating to oil fuel and radiator fluid to maintain tractor-trailer.
Drives tractor-trailer combination applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations to transport and deliver products.
Maneuvers truck into loading or unloading position following signals from loading crew as needed.
Drives truck to weigh station before and after loading as needed.
Maintains driver log according to F.C.C. regulations.
Proper completion of DOT approved Log Books.
Provide information to supervisors co-workers and subordinates by telephone in written form e-mail or in person.
Must be able to push and pull dollies or pallets loaded with pans using appropriate equipment.
Using hands and arms in handling installing positioning and moving materials and manipulation things.
Perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body such as climbing lifting balancing walking stooping and handling of materials.
This position requires steel-toed work boots double palm leather work gloves and back support
The training requirements for this job include Compressed Gas Emergency Action Plan Emergency Response & Training Program Emergency Spill Eye Protection Fire Prevention Forklift Safety Program Hazard Communication Program Lockout Tagout Program Machine Guarding Respiratory Program and Slips and Falls.

The hours and schedule for this job are flexible and are dependent upon customer needs. At no time may this individual work in such a way that DOT regulations and standards regarding hours on duty are violated.

Knowledge and Ability:

Must have working familiarity with Forklift Pallet Jack Cart Caddy and Strapping and E-Trac Functions
Knowledge of laws legal codes and government regulations regarding CDL.
Inspect equipment structures or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects.
Performing day-to-day administrative tasks such as maintaining information files and processing paperwork.
Must be CDL certified
Ability to quickly respond (with the hand finger or foot) to a signal (sound light picture) when it appears.
Ability to choose quickly between two or more movements in response to two or more different signals (lights sounds pictures). It includes the speed with which the correct response is started with the hand foot or other body part.
The ability to judge which of several objects is closer or farther away from you or to judge the distance between you and an object.
