Job Summary
- Safelyoperatecompany vehicles including Freightlinertractor with semi-trailerFlatbed trailerGooseneck trailer
- Perform scheduled deliveries and pickups of transformers with utility companies and local municipalities
- Secure loads properly and ensure compliance with DOT safety regulations
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report any issues
- Demonstrate the ability to safely back a tractor-trailer rig (including on a two-lane road at the company warehouse)
- Assistwith loading and unloading transformers and related equipment
- Maintainaccuratedelivery documentation and logs
- Coordinate withoperations team on delivery schedules and routing
- Support basic transformer refurbishment processes (training provided)
- Organize andmaintaininventory parts and materials
- Pick up parts and supplies from vendors during slower periods
- Helpmaintaina clean safe and efficient work environment
- ValidCDL Class A(Commercial Drivers License)
- Minimum1 year of driving experience preferred
- Experience hauling heavy equipment or oversized loads is a plus
- TWIC card preferred
- Tanker and Hazmat Endorsements preferred
- Strong backing and maneuvering skills in tight or confined spaces
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to learn technical aspects of transformer handling and refurbishment
- Strong attention to safety and detail
- Ability to lift move and secure heavy equipment and materials
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to climb bend and stand for extended periods
- Ability to travel locally and regionally up to90%throughout theState of Florida
- Must successfully complete a background check and pre-employment/random drug tests
- Holdvalidand currentdriverslicensedemonstratingreliability and adherence to safety regulations.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Available for extended and irregular hours as needed
- Able to work outdoors in all weather at heights (100 ft) in confined spaces and around high-voltage equipment and heavy machinery
- Physically capable of lifting 50 lbs and enduring extended physical activity
- Requires good vision hearing and English proficiency for safe effective communication in noisy environments
