This driver will transport remove deliver and collect various liquid and solid hazardous wastes from various customer sites. Will be required to load and unload trucks. They will also have the ability to operate a variety of truck and equipment including vacuum trucks box trucks and any other equipment that fits their license on site if necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
Safe Driving & Operation: Perform pre- and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety roadworthiness and proper mechanical condition; maneuver trucks safely into loading/unloading positions.
Cargo Handling & Securement: Safely load unload and secure all liquid and solid hazardous waste cargo in compliance with safety standards and weight/dimension regulations.
Compliance & Documentation: Maintain accurate driver logs manifests bills of lading and service records in full compliance with state federal DOT and safety regulations.
Defect & Incident Reporting: Promptly report any mechanical issues accidents traffic violations or vehicle damage to supervision.
Customer Service & Communication: Maintain professional communication with co-workers customers and the public; ensure timely courteous deliveries and proper paperwork sign-offs.
Site & Equipment Care: Keep vehicles clean ensure any loading/unloading debris is promptly cleared and report delivery or customer issues to management.
Support & Teamwork: Assist in training team members when required and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Valid CDL B with airbrakes
Tanker Endorsement Required
Must be able to operate manual with no restrictions
Overtime as required.
Weekend work may be required on call schedule in effect on weekly basis.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Will be required to work both indoors and outdoors.
Manual dexterity ability to lift 75 lbs required.
