Job Summary

Job Summary (includes but is not limited to the following other duties may be assigned)
Calpine Community Energy has partnered with Community Choice Aggregators (CCA) in California to provide communities with a choice to purchase cleaner energy at competitive rates. CCAs procure renewable sources of electricity for their customers and utilize the power lines owned by the local utility to distribute this renewable energy. Calpine Community Energy provides CCAs with data management billing account rate implementation and contact center services which are operationally critical to their success.
Job Responsibilities
The CCA Senior Analyst is responsible for contributing to the development and leadership of their assigned operational team. The CCA Senior Analyst is responsible for completing assigned analytical work while providing the first level of operational monitoring of daily processes. The CCA Senior Analyst will ensure assigned regional teams daily processes and approvals are completed assist with complex projects and provide subject matter expertise while supporting the Operations Management team in multiple areas.
Complete Assigned CCAs Daily Work Monitor Processes Ensure Completion (20%):
Complete assigned CCAs existing daily work provide training to other team members to hand-off agreed upon assignments to create time for new items. Ensure assigned CCA and utilitys success.
Work closely with specialists supervisors or managers to monitor daily coverage and completion for assigned regional team. Ensure daily deliverables are completed accurately.
Complete assigned approvals with timeliness and accuracy.
Ensure accurate parameters for billing to minimize errors and delays and maximize accuracy of meter data.
Collaborate daily with analysts specialists or supervisors management and internal departments to promptly provide support for complex requests that arise that reduce team productivity.
Provide back-up support for specialists or supervisors. Proactively review team coverage and ensure or provide back-up support for analyst team.
Review daily processes and interactions with the utility suggest efficiencies identify gaps escalate to management organize internal communication and drive improvement with utilities
Practice high ethical standards; be accountable for such things as time communication statistics organizational understanding and business knowledge.
Provide Assigned Region Expertise & Training (20%):
Provide assigned region expertise and training for analyst team.
Resolve analyst level questions and provide training materials or resources for team.
Identify process gaps or risks and escalate to supervisor or management as needed.
Be proficient in understanding and articulating the nuances of the various CCA Programs and Electric markets. Share expertise with the team.
Gain an understanding of how the tasks at hand have a broader impact to the business.
Provide constructive feedback regarding current processes; suggest automation maintain knowledge of significant projects department-wide and provide input as requested.
Demonstrate and train the ability to identify issues analyze data develop recommend and implement solutions.
Special Projects Process Improvement Automation & Testing Audit & Controls (60%):
Identify risks research root cause communicate to management provide suggestions for resolution complete reconciliations as needed
Independently troubleshoot and resolve exceptions anomalies and errors.
Correspond and follow-up daily with local utility regarding usage and attribute inquiries provide updates to management and CCA clients for customer service items as needed ensure timeliness and accuracy to meet high customer service expectations.
Complete monthly internal audits to ensure an efficient and accurate billing system.
Demonstrate ability to effectively communicate and gather conceptual ideas and turn into functional requirements
Coordinate analyst team to provide accurate and sufficient SOC evidence review these processes to ensure accuracy during the year.
Job Requirements
Specific Job Skills & Relevant Experience:

Ability to retain multiple facets of frequently changing processes and nuances
Operational systems and process expertise
Successful cross-functional experience and team work is a plus (experience with multiple utilities tariff analysis or rate testing launches or relevant cross functional projects).
Computer/Technical Skills:
Complex data analytics and manipulation
Intermediate to advanced level Excel skills
Ability to contribute to efficiencies and requirements gathering
Proficient in organizing Outlook settings and keyboard shortcuts
Proficient with relevant systems such as CIS EDI Vcron CRM or CAISO
Minimum Qualifications
Education Level Bachelors Degree required
Required overall work experience: minimum of 3 years (with 1 full year required of Analyst experience within the CCA Team)
Available to Travel (as needed)

$70720.00 to $99062.73
