Job Summary

Summary

Performs a wide range of duties involved with preparing and/or serving foods and beverages in one or more of a variety of food service environments.

Functions

Performs preparation duties such as rinsing peeling slicing and dicing fruit and vegetables.
-Weighs and measures ingredients.
-Wraps date-labels and stores food items.
-Cleans and organizes work areas equipment utensils and service station.
-Follows established recipes to prepare menu items.
-Follows guidelines to ensure correct serving temperatures and adequate portion control.
-Serves customers in a fast efficient and friendly manner.
-Provides customers with information regarding food ingredients availability and pricing.
-Escalates customer concerns and complaints to management.
-Complies with relevant safety hygiene and service standards and procedures.

Education High School Diploma or Equivalent required

Experience experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities of role 2-3 years required

Knowledge of supplies equipment and/or services ordering and inventory control. - Ability to follow routine verbal and written instructions. - Ability to read and write. - Ability to understand and follow safety procedures. - Ability to safely use cleaning equipment and supplies. - Ability to lift and manipulate heavy objects. - Knowledge of food service lines set-up and temperature requirements. - Skill in cooking and preparing a variety of foods. - Knowledge of food preparation and presentation methods techniques and quality standards.
