PURPOSEUnder direct supervision greets incoming customers in a pleasant and professional manner. Processes payment of customer purchases at retail locations. Counts money to verify amounts and issues receipts for funds received using a cash registerESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESGreets customers and receives payment; issues receipts refunds credits or change due to customers; package customer purchases; thanks customers for their incoming customers in a pleasant manner and provides product information location and general store knowledge. Directs customer to product pick-up point if necessary. Opens and closes-out till and accurately documents all transactions makes accurate change verifies credit cards and checks and balances prompt and efficient telephone work area clean and in pricing and stocking inventory display preparation and maintenance and maintains quality store in annual physical inventory activities. Understands and observes all safety procedures and practices in order to prevent injury to self or co-workers; attends periodic safety meetings as required; may recommend changes to improve safety duties may be RESPONSIBILITIESThis job has no supervisory REQUIREMENTSTo perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
