Cash Applications Associate

Job Summary

Were looking for a Cash Application Associate that is detail-oriented comfortable with to join our collaborative Cash Application Team at our Southfield this role youll ensure financial accuracy while helping keep our daily operations running smoothly.

Job Responsibilities

• Process payments: Accurately post a mixture of incoming payments (checks ACHs credit cards lockbox) to customer accounts within a 24-hour window.
• Research & Reconcile: Review payments received without remittance information to locate the customer invoices and/or accounts being paid. Analyze and resolve accounting discrepancies in payment batches posted by the cash app team.
• Manage Records: Prepare log and maintain organized records and reports of payments you post reverse or adjust in our teams shared drive.
• Collaborate: Work with our customer service teams across the U.S. to resolve billing inquiries locate and remedy customers misapplied payments and approve/process customer refunds.
  

Job Description

• Experience: Minimum 1 year working in accounts receivable and/or handling high-volume payment applications.
• Education: High school diploma/GED required; associate or bachelors degree in relevant field (accounting business finance) is a strong plus.
• Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities high attention to detail and a talent for staying organized while multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
• Tech-Savvy: Working knowledge of Microsoft Office & Google Workspace (Word PDF editors Google sheets Google drive) as well as familiarity with accounts receivable software
