Volt is immediately hiring Case Assembler in Houston TX 77039

As a Case Assembler you will:

Assemble enclosures using a variety of hand and power tools and fixtures. Follow work instructions and test equipment. Perform a series of operations to meet production schedules and quality standards including modifying parts as necessary for proper fit.

Responsibilities:

• Follow detailed assembly instructions processes and procedures.
• Assemble enclosures and related parts in a timely manner.
• Able to safely and correctly operate hand and power tools and machinery including forklifts semi-automated material handling equipment and overhead cranes.
• Participate in training and continuing education.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Work overtime as required.

This is a Full-time/ Contract opportunity.

The ideal candidate will have:

Required Skills & Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Relevant work experience with a minimum of one year in electrical and/or mechanical assembly in a manufacturing facility.
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision in a safe and efficient manner.
• Good mechanical aptitude.
• Experienced in the proper and safe use of hand and light power tools.
• Positions requires to lift parts weighing in excess of 50 pounds (assistance when needed) and to work in a bending standing or squatting positions for long periods of time (excess of one hour).
• Effective communication skills: verbal and written (English).
• Follow written and/or oral instructions in English.

Preferred Skills and/or Experience

• Pass forklift certifications and requirements to operate forklifts.

Pay Range: $14.00 to $15.00 per hour

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors including the candidates education work experience work location specific job duties certifications etc.
