Job Summary
Camera control-systems engineering involves systems-level analysis and modeling of imaging and sensing systems modeling dynamic systems developing robust control strategies design and construction of prototypes to guide development definition of test procedures and documentation of requirements and design considerations.
Systems-level analysis and modeling of electromechanical systemsnControl systems analysis synthesis and implementationnMeasurement system prototyping including HW FW and SW development and automation of measurement proceduresnWork with multidisciplinary subjects related to control-systems applications in electro-mechanical devices (firmware realizations actuators sensors mechanical and electrical engineering etc)nDefining subsystem and system level tests to characterize and/or guarantee parametric specifications and maintaining related documentationnManagement: Leading small teams to help with resource planning and prioritization; defining project deliverables and schedules to meet commitments to product development teams
BS degree in Physics ME EE ASE (Aero/Astro) CS or Optical EngineeringnExperience with control systems design for electro-mechanical systemsnExperience with estimation strategies (e.g. Kalman filters)nExperience with Matlab and/or Simulink for modeling simulation
MS/PhD in Physics ME EE ASE (Aero/Astro) CS or Optical Engineering and 10 years of relevant industry experiencenExperience with leading technical projects with small to medium teamsnExperience with real-time control realizations like MCU FPGA RTOS with inertial navigation sensors and/or sensor fusionnExperience with one or more 3rd party controls instrumentation solutions (e.g. DSpace Speedgoat NI CRIO)nExperience with SW development in C/C (i.e. version control change review process coding practices)
