Job Summary

Overview

Work from home position after training is completed onsite.

Onsite training is completed within 8-12 weeks in Champaign.

This position supports the Carle Direct Transfer Center by facilitating internal and external communication related to inbound and outbound patient transfers and admissions and providing a high level of customer service. This position will work closely with Carle Direct nurses and routinely interact with Carle and non-Carle clinics hospitals and providers to provide timely and exceptional acute care for patients coming to Carle Foundation Hospital.

Responsibilities

Answers incoming telephone calls for Carle Direct in a pleasant professional manner. Identifies customer needs and determines how to assist in the appropriate patient admissions in accurate customer information and place in transfer software for nursing outbound transfer follow up and and follows up on outpatient appointment department logs and with patient transportation patients with bed number and direction for planned with House Administrators Bed Placement On-call administration regarding bed supplies for department in Lawson and Warehouse daily assignments and communication medical records as updates with Emergency Department ATC providers nursing staff Case Management Bed Placement/ transmission of images from referring facilities to Epic.

Salary Range

The compensation range for this position is $16.45per hour - $26.65per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidates experience qualifications location training licenses shifts worked and compensation model.
