Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a CADD Specialist IV to be based in Houston Texas. This candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks in support of the engineering staff and serving as a technical resource for project teams.

  • Assist with engineering calculations design verification and technical analysis to support project deliverables and ensure accuracy of engineering work.
  • Set up operate and maintain surveying equipment and field instruments ensuring proper calibration and compliance with industry standards.
  • Inspect equipment and engineering installations for compliance with specifications building codes and safety regulations documenting findings and recommending corrective actions.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation including field notes inspection reports test results and as-built records ensuring accuracy and accessibility for project teams.
  • Prepare technical reports summaries and presentations that communicate project status findings and recommendations to engineering staff and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate general understanding of procedures and company policies to achieve set results and deadlines viewed as competent in all areas of responsibility.
  • Oversee and coordinate the work of junior-level technicians providing technical guidance quality assurance review and mentoring to support their professional development.
  • Conduct site inspections and field investigations collecting data and samples as required for quality control and compliance verification purposes.
  • Coordinate with contractors vendors and external teams to facilitate project execution resolve technical issues and ensure adherence to project specifications.
  • Identify and communicate potential safety hazards compliance concerns and risk factors to engineering management and project leadership.

Qualifications :

Minimum Requirements: 

  • HS 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
  • US citizenship is required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in Civil Engineering Construction Management or related field
  • Proficiency in engineering software and CAD programs
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills
  • Knowledge of civil engineering principles practices and standards
  • Ability to read interpret and analyze engineering drawings and specifications
  • Hands-on experience with surveying equipment and field instruments
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong documentation and record-keeping abilities
  • Experience with project management and scheduling software
  • Demonstrated supervisory or mentoring experience with junior-level technicians
  • Comprehensive knowledge of relevant building codes safety regulations and compliance standards
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to work effectively in team environments
