Job Description:
- As a Project Buyer Expeditor you will have day-to-day involvement in Procurement activity within the business to ensure efficient management of the targets needed.
- You will focus on tactical execution of purchase order schedules related to material for multiple projects within New Unit Gas Turbine Business.
- You will focus on internal customers and partners who cant be successful without your contribution timeliness and transparency.
- You will solve short term / daily issues creating huge value for our customers. You will become an expert of tactical execution expediting and supply chain performance management.
- Manage a work queue and secure that Purchase Orders are issued in due time
- Ensure a close cooperation with Internal Customers to ensure customer care and early involvement
- Manage a portfolio of suppliers negotiate price increase requests resolve issues pertaining to invoicing/payment
- Contribute to implementation and ensure usage of globally defined methods processes and systems to ensure high process efficiency and process compliance (e.g. compliant Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) process Procurement guidelines IT systems)
- Support Supplier Management processes (e.g. qualification selection evaluation development classification)
- Strong SAP transactional experience
- Outstanding Excel skills
- 3 years of experience in direct procurement
- Team player with the ability to also work independently to meet fixed deadlines goals and objectives
- Ability to work in a complex fast changing global organizational environment
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills collaboration and influencing techniques result-orientation and strategic-innovative thinking required
- Maintain records of all documentation adherence of online purchasing and contract management systems
- Support and/or lead Procurement Business Plan activities
- Strong collaboration with global and local project management and the operational material requirements planning team to achieve most effectiveness in planning alignment and execution
- Continuously monitor own procurement list follow up on execution such as order confirmation progress compliance with quality requirements
- Support and ensure compliance with transportation and customs requirements in close collaboration with Logistics team
- Provide weekly interval schedule progress reports
- Bachelors or Associate Degree

- Shift Hours: 8:00AM -5:00 PM EST
