Business Intelligence Developer

AbouttheCompany: Our client is seeking a business intelligence (BI) developer who will be responsible for modeling data creating interactive and visually appealing reports and dashboards using Microsoft Power BI limited management of Unanet and analyzing data to fulfill various business requests. The BI developer will work closely with cross functional teams to understand their data needs design effective data models and deliver insightful visualizations. Under the direction of the BI manager the BI developer will support shaping the businesss data infrastructure inclusive of reporting and the companys various analytics platforms.

About the Role: The BI developer will be responsible for modeling data creating interactive and visually appealing reports and dashboards using Microsoft Power BI limited management of Unanet and analyzing data to fulfill various business requests.

Responsibilities:

• Developoptimizeandmaintaindatamodelsdetailingtheirstructurerelationshipsandconstraints.
• Implementprocessestoextracttransformandload(ETL)datafromvarioussourcesintoPowerBI.
• DesigndevelopanddeployinteractivereportsdashboardsandvisualizationsusingPowerBIensuringdataaccuracyconsistentstandardsandvisualappeal.
• Collaboratewithstakeholderstounderstandbusinessrequirementsandtranslatethemintoeffectivedatamodelsandvisualizations.
• Designefficientdatamodelstructures.
• Analyzeandinterpretdatatoprovideactionableinsightsandrecommendationstostakeholders.
• ManageandadministerUnanettoensuredataintegrityandsystemfunctionality.
• Assistincreatingandmaintainingdatagovernancepoliciesensuringdataqualityandcompliance.
• StayupdatedwiththelatesttrendsandbestpracticesinPowerBIdevelopmentanddataanalytics.
• Collaboratewiththevariousteamstotroubleshootissuesoptimizeperformanceandenhancedataintegrationprocesses.
• Trainend-usersonusingPowerBIreportsandvisualizationseffectively.
• Developimplementandmaintainsystemsproceduresandpoliciestoensureadherencetocompanyguidelines.
• Providedatasolutionstoolsandcapabilitiestoenableself-serviceframeworksfordataconsumers.
• Supportthepreparationofmonthlyquarterlyandannualfinancialreportinganalyzingandsummarizingcompanydata.
• Obtainandmaintainathoroughunderstandingofthefinancialreportingandgeneralledgerstructure.
• Troubleshoottechnicalissueswithplatformsdatadiscrepanciesalertsetc.
• Documentandupdateallproceduresrequiredtocompleteareasofresponsibility.
• Assistinthedevelopmentandimplementationofnewproceduresandfeaturestoenhancetheworkflowofthedepartment.
• Supportspecialprojectsandworkflowprocessimprovements.
• Exerciseahighdegreeofconfidentiality.
• Demonstratetheorganizationscorevaluesandbehaviorsandchampionthemamongcolleagues.

Qualifications:

• Abachelorsdegreeinaprofessionalspecialtypreferablyincomputerscienceinformationtechnology/systemsfinance/accountingmath/statisticsorasimilardiscipline.
• Fiveyearsofrelatedexperienceincludingexperiencewithreportwritingandtechnicalrequirementmodeanalysis.
• Demonstratedexpertisewithreportingtoolssoftwareandotherapplications.
• EstablishedexperienceasaPowerBIdevelopercreatinginteractivereportsvisualizationsdatamodelingandDataAnalysisExpressions(DAX)language.
• ExpertinMicrosoftOfficeExcel(refreshablewebqueryRWQPowerPivotformulasetc.).
• Anequivalentcombinationofadvancededucationtrainingandexperiencewillbeconsidered.

• UnderstandsPowerBIsrow-levelsecurity(RLS)anddataclassificationfeatures.

Certifications:

Salaryrange: $84000.00-$135000.00
