Business Development Manager

ElementhasanopportunityforaBusinessDevelopmentManagerresponsible for developing and growing strategic customer relationships throughout the Southwest region. Based out of our Tempe Arizona laboratory this role will focus on expanding business within aerospace defense electronics semiconductor industrial and advanced technology markets by promoting Elements environmental simulation dynamics and EMI/EMC testing capabilities.

Element Tempe serves as a premier testing partner for commercial and military customers supporting products from early-stage R&D and design verification through full qualification and compliance testing. The successful candidate will work closely with engineering program management and procurement stakeholders to identify opportunities develop solutions and drive profitable growth.

• Engage customers early in the product development lifecycle to support R&D design verification validation and qualification testing requirements.
• UnderstandcustomerprogramsschedulesandcompliancerequirementstopositionElementasastrategictestingpartner.
• Delivertechnicalandcommercialpresentationstocustomersandindustrygroups.
• Partnerwithlaboratoryoperationsandtechnicalexpertstodeveloptestingsolutionsandproposalsthatmeetcustomerrequirements.
• Followuponquotationsandopportunitiestomaximizeconversionratesandshareofwallet.
• MaintainaccuratepipelineforecastingandcustomeractivityrecordswithinCRM.
• Participateinregularbusinessreviewsandstrategicaccountplanningactivities.
• RepresentElementataerospacedefenseelectronicsandmanufacturingindustryeventsconferencesandtradeassociations.
• CollaboratewithotherElementlaboratoriesandbusinessunitstoidentifycross-sellingopportunitiesacrosstheorganizationsfullportfolioofservices.

• 5yearsofbusinessdevelopmenttechnicalsalesaccountmanagementorengineeringexperiencewithinatechnicalservicesenvironment.
• Provensuccessdevelopingbusinesswithinaerospacedefenseelectronicssemiconductorindustrialoradvancedmanufacturingmarkets.
• Experiencesellingtechnicalengineeringtestingcertificationvalidationorcomplianceservices.
• Abilitytocommunicateeffectivelywithengineersprogrammanagersandexecutivedecision-makers.
• Experiencemanagingcomplexsalescyclesanddevelopingstrategiccustomerrelationships.
• Strongpresentationnegotiationandproposaldevelopmentskills.
• ProficiencywithCRMsystemsandMicrosoftOfficeapplications.
• Ability to travel up to 50-75% including occasional overnight travel.

Preferred

• ExperiencewithenvironmentaltestingvibrationshockclimaticsimulationEMI/EMCtestingorproductqualificationprograms.
• Familiarity with aerospace and defense standards such as MIL-STD-810 MIL-STD-461 RTCA DO-160 or related industry specifications.
• Backgroundinaerospaceengineeringelectricalengineeringmechanicalengineeringphysicsorarelatedtechnicaldiscipline.
• ExperienceworkingwithmilitarycontractorsaerospaceOEMselectronicsmanufacturersorgovernmentprograms.
• BachelorsdegreeinEngineeringPhysicsMaterialsScienceorarelatedtechnicalfield.
