Brandeis University is looking for a Business Coordinator to join the School of Arts Humanities and Culture. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career who wants to build experience in finance administration operations and higher education while working with faculty staff students and colleagues across the University.
As a Business Coordinator youll be an important resource for the department and will help make sure the day-to-day operations run smoothly. Youll work with budgets and financial transactions help faculty and staff navigate administrative processes coordinate student hiring and provide general office and facilities support.
The salary range for the position is $47400-$57000.
What Youll Do
Support budgets and financial operations
Help maintain budget tracking spreadsheets and run reports in Workday.
Answer questions from faculty and administrators about budget balances and spending.
Process orders and other transactions through Coupa.
Assist with P-card reconciliations expense reports and year-end financial activities.
Help determine the appropriate funding source for expenses and make sure accounts are accurate and up to date.
Support student employees
Serve as a primary contact for hourly student hiring.
Coordinate student hiring costing allocation changes terminations and related processes.
Keep day-to-day operations running
Coordinate office supplies mail packages checks and mailboxes.
Serve as a point of contact for facilities-related issues.
Work with vendors and campus offices to resolve questions and problems.
Provide financial and administrative support for lectures seminars and other departmental activities including processing honoraria invoices and paperwork.
Be a resource to the community
Youll interact with a wide range of faculty staff students vendors and campus partners. The ideal candidate is someone who is approachable and professional can work independently and knows when to ask questions or seek guidance.

Comfortable with technology Experience with Microsoft Office Google Workspace Workday Coupa or similar systems is helpful.
A high school diploma is required and a Bachelors degree is strongly preferred along with 1-3 years of related work experience. We are also interested in candidates who have transferable experience and are excited to grow in a university environment.
