Training start times may be as early as 4:00am. All candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of application and throughout the duration of : Applications are reviewed as received and only those applicants who fully meet the established qualifications will be contacted by HR to participate in the screening SUMMARY:Bus Operators transport passengers by operating any type of passenger bus on regularly scheduled links (fixed routes) observing all state and municipal traffic laws observing all safety rules strictly adhering to time schedules and providing exceptional customer SENSITIVE:This position is considered safety-sensitive and is subject to drug and alcohol testing including but not limited to pre-employment testing post-accident testing and random testing under Federal Transportation Administration (FTA) drug and alcohol regulations and U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations 49 CFR Part 40 and Part 655. EXAMPLES OF RESPONSIBILITIES:Safely operates passenger DOT pre-trip passenger questions exceptional customer and adheres to assigned driving all state and municipal traffic all safety adheres to time fare and ticket slips for fare refunds; issues and collects that appropriate passes are being daily reports such as transfers collected coach mileage special fares and tickets collected time cards for hours worked and completes memorandum Bus Condition other duties of a similar nature as may be KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:Skills in customer to effectively communicate in English both verbally and in to meet the attendance requirements of the to learn possess and maintain a valid Florida Commercial Drivers License (CDL) Class A or B with a Passenger Endorsement and pass a DOT drug test and DOT physical and maintain a Medical Examiners Certificate with at least a one-year expiration to physically sit for extended periods of with and ability to use a computer and two-way EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:Clean driving -time: Ability to work days nights weekends holidays split shifts split days off and any hours be 21 years of School diploma or GED rate: $24.14 per hour
