Job Summary
JOB SUMMARY:The Bus Operator A is responsible for safely transporting passengers along assigned fixed routes while providing exceptional customer service and maintaining strict adherence to all federal state and local transportation regulations. This safety-sensitive position requires a valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) A or B and include passenger and airbrakes endorsement. All candidates must have a commitment to safe driving practices reliability and professionalism. Bus operators perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections maintain route schedules collect fares as required assist passengers and ensure a safe and welcoming environment for the public. Successful candidates demonstrate excellent communication skills sound judgement and a strong dedication to safety and customer rate: $24.14 per hour (Yearly Pay Increases Based on Union Contract Up to Current Top Pay - $32.62/hourly)Safety-Sensitive:This position is considered safety-sensitive and is subject to drug and alcohol testing including but not limited to pre-employment testing post-accident testing and random testing under Federal Transportation Administration (FTA) drug and alcohol regulations and U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations 49 CFR Part 40 and Part 655.
