Building Management Systems (BMS) Project Manager

Control Solutions Group Inc. an EMCOR Group company seeks an Building Management Systems (BMS) Project Manager to join our New York City team.

In this role the BMS Project Manager oversees and coordinates multiple building automation installation projects within a dynamic construction environment while managing project contracts accounting and resource allocation. This role acts as a critical liaison developing strong relationships with clients subcontractors and internal teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope. The position requires a process-oriented leader who can adapt to short deadlines handle up to 25% travel and maintain a solid familiarity with BAS BMS DDC and energy management systems.

Experience with controls BMS BAS DDC Building Automation Building Management EPMS and Energy Management Systems is preferred.

• Coordinate and manage multiple automation installation projects while remaining organized.
• Maintain project accounting and contracts.
• Develop and maintain a cooperative working relationship with members of the company clients subcontractors and other contacts.
• Anticipate and be able to meet short and/or unpredictable deadlines.
• Understand and conform to company policies and procedures.
• Recognize and utilize the companys resources effectively and efficiently.
• Plan organize and carry out assigned job responsibilities within established time parameters.
• Continuously seek to improve knowledge of required job skills and stay abreast of industry changes.
• Assume additional responsibilities as needed and approved by management.
• Travel Required up to 25%

• Bachelors degree in EE ME CE Math or Physics
• Minimum of 5-years project management experience in HVAC control and automation or equivalent industry experience in the NYC Metro area.
• Extensive computer and automation experience.
• Thorough understanding of the construction process.
• Demonstrated track record of completing projects on schedule and within budget.
• Excellent organizational and oral/written communication skills.
• Competent working with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of electrical wiring and schematics.
• Able to write edit and understand sequences of operations.
• Able to read and understand project drawings and specifications.
• Have excellent oral/written communication skills and be able to communicate effectively with consulting engineers regarding design implementation and commissioning.
• A knowledge of Automated Logic controls preferred.
