Job Summary
Dakota State University is seeking applications for a full-time Building Maintenance Specialist Electrical. The position will report to the Assistant Director of Facilities Trade.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
- Repairing or replacing electrical fixtures.
- Replacing fuses light bulbs fluorescent tubes and ballast.
- Replacing belts motors and bearings on appliances and equipment.
- Oversee warranty issues from general construction projects.
- Running conduit and pulling wire.
- Installing new devices included but not limited to panel boards breakers conduit boxes switches receptacles wire lights fans.
- Assisting other trades on repair and construction projects.
- Installing or repairing underground wiring.
- Maintenance and testing on emergency lights exhaust fans etc.
Requirements:
- Journeymans electrical license (or ability to obtain one within 6 months).
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
- Ability to operate required equipment.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to lift 50lbs regularly.
- Ability to maintain a valid drivers license.
- Deal tactfully and work effectively with others.
- Must be comfortable working from heights or lifts.
- Must be comfortable working in confined spaces.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
