Interteks project-related assurance testinginspectionand consulting services are the risk management and quality assurance partner you need to ensure the reliability safety and performance of your new developments existingassetsand facilities.

Interteks Building Science Solutions(BSS) group is primarily focused on building enclosure consulting commissioning and field performance testing for new construction and retrofit projects.

What are we looking for

TheProject Specialistassistsproject teams through design and construction phases supporting new construction enclosure consulting and commissioning as well as evaluations investigations and repairs of existing position will travelfrequentlywithin and outside the local area depending on workloads and project locations;estimate is25%.

Shift/Schedule:Monday Friday 8-5PM

Whatyoulldo:

  • Completefield performance testing and water leakage testing of roofing and waterproofing systems windowsair barrierscurtain walls and other building elements
  • Perform quality assurance observations andmonitorthe construction process to assure that roofingand building enclosure related projectsstay in compliance with approved construction drawings specifications and warranty stipulated installation procedures
  • Performconstruction administration services and site visitsat construction jobsites
  • Assistwith/perform forensic investigations and documentation of existing conditions including wall claddings windows curtain wall systems roofs skylights plaza waterproofing and below grade elementsetc.
  • Prepare professionally written field reports
  • Learn to perform buildingenclosure reviews of architectural drawings shopdrawingsand submittals
  • Learn to prepare sketches and details using Bluebeam and hand-drawn techniques

This position outline is a general guideline and does notrepresentall encompassing details. The position assumes that the incumbent has both the mental and physical requirements to carry out the above defined duties.

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Architecture or Architectural Engineering with 2 years experience in Building Enclosure OR;
  • 7 years experience in Building Enclosure in lieu of degree
  • Workingknowledge ofbuildingconstruction roofing and other building enclosure systems
  • Construction administration progressobservationand site inspection experience
  • Ability toefficiently work on multiple projects simultaneouslyin a team environment
  • Excellent organizational and project management skillswithdemonstratedability to meet deadlines
  • Consistent and professional interaction and communication
  • Field experience or strong interest in working onsite
  • Ability to perform office tasks and physical labor tasks
  • Ability toobservework from laddersboom-lifts scaffolds swing stages roofs etc.
  • Ability to travelfrequentlywithin and outside the local area depending on workloads and project locations estimate 25% travel time
  • ValidDriversLicense and reliable driving record

Preferred Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Safety Training / Aerial Lift Certification
