This National Guard position is for a BUDGET ANALYST T32 PDDand is part of the AZ G4 National Guard.


Duties

THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.

This position is located in the G4 in Phoenix AZ. The purpose of this position is to serve as the analyst and consultant for the management and administration of budget programs within the directorate/division. Serves as key coordination point for all budget requirements. This work requires knowledge and skill in the application of financial management related laws regulations policies acquisition precedents methods and techniques of budget analysis and funds management.

  • ARIZONA ARMY NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED. Prior to appointment into this position selectee must be a current member of the Arizona Army National Guard in a military organization supported by the G4.
  • This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing states National Guard required prior to the effective date of placement.
  • Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform.
  • Acceptance of an excepted service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment.
  • Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership and employment in the National Guard in the military grade listed in this announcement.
  • Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation.
  • May be required to successfully complete a trial period.
  • Participation in direct deposit is mandatory.
  • Incumbent must possess and maintain a current state drivers license.
  • Certification Level 2: THIS IS A FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT Level 2 Certified position designated as such IAW the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012 Public Law 112-81 Subtitle F-Financial Mgt section 1051 amending 10 US Code section 1599d.
  • Incumbent of this position is required to comply with all DoD requirements of this certification program as a condition of employment. Failure to obtain this certification within the required time may subject the incumbent to adverse action.
Qualifications

Military Grades:
Enlisted: E-4/SPC/CPL - E6/SSG
Warrant Officer: W1/WO1 - W2/CW2
Officer: O1/LT - O2/1LT

Compatible Military Assignments: MOS/Branch Immaterial

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
Must possess at least 1-year specialized experience education or training equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. Must have experience education or training of finance budget competencies that provided knowledge of financial principles and procedures. Candidate must have a good understanding of the basic principles and concepts of the National Guard financial budget business program requirements. A candidate must have experiences and training that demonstrate the abilities to follow directions to read retain and understand a variety of instructions regulations policies and procedures.

Education

You must provide transcripts or other documentation to support your Educational claims. To receive credit for Education you must provide documentation of proof that you meet the Education requirements for this position.
