Job Summary/Description:

KOLO is looking for an individual with Broadcasting Technical IT or Operations experience to become an IT and Broadcast engineer. Duties include troubleshooting maintaining and installing broadcast equipment and network equipment.

Duties/Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

âªï The installation and repair of associated broadcast equipment and network equipment.
âªï Use test equipment to troubleshoot audio video issues and network issues.
âªï Monitor and/or maintain quality control standards. Understand information taken from test equipment and determine the appropriate action.
âªï Able to read and decipher schematic drawings and interpolate the information.
âªï IT Duties including maintenance and repair of computers servers networking equipment etc.
âªï Capable of working odd hours: mornings nights weekends and holidays.
âªï Maybe on call for after-hours support.
âªï Support all aspects of Breaking News Gathering at a moments notice.
âªï A team player but also a self-starter able to work alone.
âªï Assist with facilities maintenance including HVAC Electrical and security systems.
âªï Able to lift 50 lbs.
âªï Other duties as assigned by Technology Management.

Qualifications/Requirements:

âªï Valid drivers license and good driving record.
âªï Have a working knowledge of video/audio systems and IP-based broadcast technology.
âªï Have a working knowledge of News and Television Automation systems.
âªï Have customer-focused problem-solving abilities.
âªï Must be self-motivated and able to see projects through to the end.
âªï Good communication and interpersonal skills.
âªï Oral and written communication skills are mandatory.
âªï SBE and/or IT certifications are a plus.
