The Brew & Processing Manager leads daily brewing operations to meet quality safety and production goals manages compliance with relevant safety and food standards overseesbrewschedulingto meet production targetsmaintainsequipment and sanitation practices and fosters a high-performance team & Processing Manager serves as back-up to the Manufacturing Managerprovidingcompliance support operational excellence oversight and leadership development of theproductionteams in addition to their primary responsibility of the brew operation.


Must be able toworka flexible on-site schedule to support the 24/7 operation includingsomenight shift will start on a split shift ensuringnight-shift leadership coverage until 9pm Mon-Thur. at a minimum.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead safety quality and efficiency initiatives across brewing andprocessingto ensure consistent product flow.
  • Maintain compliance with FDA regulations HACCP requirements Food Safety Plans and SQF standards.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert on brewing and processing equipment technology and recipe-management systems; guide integration of new flavors blends and concentrate processes.
  • Build and sustain a High-Performance Work System (HPWS) that supports thebrewteams development performance and long-term alignment with business growth.
  • Drive continuous improvement tooptimizetea brewing and CIP systems improving consistency product quality waste reduction and productivity using established KPIsutilizing Red Zone technology to track performance.
  • Coordinate brewing and processing schedules with production needs to ensureaccurateforecasting ofproductsupply and demand.
  • Standardize processeswith brew and batchingto minimize variationproduce predictable repeatable results whileowning the improvement of yield and scrap.
  • Overseeprocessing andbrewCIP activities for brew equipment including sanitation procedures and management of the Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS).
  • Ensure proper functioning of all brewing CIP equipment through routine checks using tools such as chart recorders HDMI screens 3D TRASAR chemical titrations and third-party support.
  • Manage chemicalordering andusage including inventory storage and removal of empty containers.
  • Maintain a clean safe and efficient brewing environment aligned with sustainability and environmental goals.
  • Responsible for the operational startup of new brewing and batching processes and equipment in collaboration with engineeringteamsand external vendors.
  • Lead the development and training of associates within the department.
  • Manages staffing schedules to ensure proper coverage for operation while managing set overtime budget.
  • Builds and oversees budget for the department and works with site Controller and Plant Director to ensure department costs meet plan.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Business Management Operations Management Chemical Science or Engineering preferred; or five years of related experience in a salaried leadership role or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Supervisory experience leading a team of>10 associates ideally in a High-Performance Work System environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules operating instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including the ability to prepare reports and present information to employees or customers.

  • While performing the duties of this Job the employeeis regularly required tostand walk use hands to handle or feel reach with hands and arms climb or balance stoop kneel or crouch talk and hear. The employee isfrequentlyrequired to sit. The employeeis occasionally required totaste or smell. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to work in areas that may involve exposure tonoisehot surfaces high-pressure equipment and cleaning chemicals while wearingappropriate personalprotective equipment (PPE) including gloves goggles and aprons.
  • Requires attention to detail and the ability to follow established safety protocols to ensure effective and safe cleaning processes.
