Box Truck Driver

A Box Truck Driver is responsible for safely operating a box truck to transport and deliver goods to customers businesses and designated locations. Services may include deliveries inside customers homes and range from dropping at the front door to white glove service with room of choice and assembly of product. The driver loads and unloads cargo completes required delivery documentation and provides professional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate a box truck on assigned local and regional routes.

• Basic hand tool usage and assembly skills

• Pick up and deliver products packages equipment or materials according to assigned routes and schedules.

• Load unload and secure cargo to prevent shifting loss or damage during transit.

• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and promptly report maintenance or safety issues.

• Follow applicable traffic laws DOT regulations company policies and customer-site requirements.

• Maintain accurate delivery records receipts inspection documents and other required paperwork.

• Communicate professionally with customers dispatchers warehouse personnel and leadership regarding deliveries delays route changes and vehicle issues.

• Verify orders freight condition and delivery quantities before completing deliveries.

• Maintain a clean organized and professional vehicle and work area.

• Assist with warehouse material-handling or loading duties when required.

Qualifications & Skills

• Valid drivers license (REAL ID) and acceptable driving record required.
