Delta Specialty Hospital is seeking a compassionate skilled and motivated Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join our Specialized Pediatric Unit in Memphis this role you will work alongside a multidisciplinary team providing evidence-based behavioral services and helping children and adolescents achieve meaningful progress in a hospital setting.
This is an excellent opportunity for a BCBA who enjoys a combination of direct patient care staff mentorship program development and clinical leadership.
What You Will Do
As a BCBA You will;
- Assist in the implementation of ABA programming on the Specialized Pediatric Unit
- Provides supervision to the Registered Behavior Technicians and Behavioral Health Associates
- Trains new staff on ABA techniques
- Keeps abreast of advances in treatment and sets appropriate goals for self-improvement
- Facilitates daily team meetings
- Attends staff meetings as required and completes all yearly mandatory in-services
- Provides direct services to the patients on the Specialized Pediatric Unit
- Conducts the appropriate assessments including ADOS and other specific assessments in a timely manner
- Participates in performance improvement activities
- Follows all hospital policies and procedures
- Must maintain license or certification in good standing
- Flexible schedule. Possible weekends or evenings when appropriate
- Employee will be required to perform other job related duties as assigned by their supervisor
OTHER FUNCTIONS:
- Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience with the development and implementation of Behavior Intervention Plans
- Must have excellent verbal written and interpersonal skills
- Experience with working with adolescent population
- Must be skilled and competent to provide services to the patient.
LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:
- Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) by BACB
- CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility).
- First aid may be required based on state or facility.
