MondayFriday 6:00 AM2:30 PM or 7:00 AM3:30 PM
Schedule may have some flexibility.

Important: This position requires participation in a rotating weekend schedule after training. Weekend work is mandatory to maintain the Matrigel production cycle.

Position Overview

We are seeking a Biotech Manufacturing Associate to support production activities within a biotechnology manufacturing facility. This position will work in the Reagents area and manufacture Matrigel using established laboratory and production processes.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in a biotechnology pharmaceutical laboratory or life sciences environment and be comfortable working in a controlled manufacturing setting while following detailed procedures GMP practices and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manufacture Matrigel using established and well-defined production processes.
  • Prepare buffers and materials required for production runs.
  • Set up and operate laboratory and manufacturing equipment.
  • Perform production processes involving:
    • Centrifugation
    • Buffer extraction
    • Filtration
    • Dialysis
  • Follow established SOPs and production procedures.
  • Document production activities and perform transactions within an ERP system.
  • Work closely with Quality Assurance to identify and address non-conformance issues.
  • Maintain a clean organized and compliant work environment.
  • Follow all applicable safety quality and manufacturing procedures.
  • Support cross-training and development of additional manufacturing skills.
  • Work effectively as part of a team to meet production requirements.
Working Environment

This is a hands-on manufacturing position within a biotechnology/life sciences facility.

The employee may work in:

  • Cleanroom environments
  • General laboratory areas
  • Cold rooms ranging from approximately 2C to -20C
  • Controlled environments requiring designated PPE

The position may require:

  • Frequent lifting and movement of materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Handling of hazardous materials in controlled environments.
  • Strict adherence to safety and laboratory procedures.
Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or higher.
  • 13 years of experience preferred in biotechnology laboratory life sciences pharmaceutical manufacturing or a related environment.
  • Hands-on experience working with laboratory equipment and tools.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions SOPs and production requirements.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Willingness to cross-train and become proficient in multiple manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to work the required weekday schedule and participate in the mandatory rotating weekend schedule.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Biotechnology or biopharmaceutical manufacturing experience.
  • GMP or regulated manufacturing experience.
  • Cleanroom experience.
  • Experience with buffer or reagent preparation.
  • Experience with centrifugation filtration dialysis or similar laboratory processes.
  • ERP/SAP experience.
  • Knowledge of 5S or Lean Manufacturing principles.
Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a hands-on Biotech Manufacturing Associate Laboratory Technician Manufacturing Technician or Bioprocessing Technician who is comfortable working in a controlled laboratory/manufacturing environment.

Candidates from biotechnology pharmaceutical biopharmaceutical life sciences cell culture diagnostics or laboratory reagent manufacturing environments are strongly encouraged to apply
