Bindery Machine Operator 1st Shift

Mackin Educational Resources is a well-established and highly respected company with an opportunity for a Bindery Machine Operator to join our Topeka KS Bindery team.

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of bindery equipment including cutting folding scoring stitching and gluing equipment following established procedures to meet quality and production standards.
• Monitor equipment during operation making routine adjustments and performing basic maintenance and troubleshooting as needed.
• Work with team members to prepare materials and orders for production while maintaining a clean organized and safe work area.
• Follow all company safety quality and production procedures.

• Strong attention to detail.
• Strong mechanical aptitude preferred.
• Ability to accurately use measurement tools such as a ruler or tape measure.
• Ability to concentrate on tasks for extended periods without distraction.
• Comfortable performing repetitive tasks in a fast-paced production environment.
• Ability to bend and continuously lift 1015 pounds.
• Ability to stand for the entire shift and continuously use fingers hands and arms in controlled movements.
• Previous bindery machine operator or manufacturing experience is a plus.

Education & Experience

• High School or GED

Hours

• Full-time - Days (7:00am - 3:30pm) Monday through Friday
• Weekends and Overtime as needed

Wages

• $17.00 per hour
