Bilingual Staff Attorney

A full-time opening has come available for a Bilingual Staff Attorney to represent survivors of domestic and sexual violence to join an extremely honorable non-profit organization. This position would earn a competitive base salary and a great benefits package including insurance plans health plan vacation pension and other outstanding perks. The positions are located in the beautiful Dunmore area.

Responsibilities:

Provide civil representation to program participants: including but not limited to interviews filings court appearances and trials.

Represent and advocate for petitioners in both civil and criminal contempt cases

Provide support and training to law students

Participate in local state and national activities specifically committees/networks sponsored by Pennsylvania Coalition Against Domestic Violence.

Litigate in precedent-setting cases at trial level and on appeal

All candidates MUST have the following experiences to qualify for consideration

• Please DO NOT APPLY unless you have an active license to Practice Law in PA and a JD from an accredited Law School
• 1 year in FAMILY LAW experience.
• MUST be Bi-lingual (Spanish/English)
• Local travel to Lackawanna and Susquehanna Counties
