Key Responsibilities
Clinical Practice & Evidence-Based Care
- Provide short-term evidence-based individual family and group therapy to children adolescents adults and families.
- Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments to evaluate client needs interpret psychiatric conditions formulate proper DSM-5 diagnoses and establish individualized courses of treatment.
- Utilize data from standardized assessment instruments to establish track and dynamically modify individual service plans.
- Promote intentional family engagement and participation applying evidence-based modalities to inform family therapy interventions.
Multidisciplinary Collaboration & Community Outreach
- Actively participate in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings and administrative supervision to ensure cohesive client care.
- Partner with members of the psychiatric team (MDs and APRNs) and peer clinicians to provide superior well-rounded behavioral health services.
- Evaluate and recommend appropriate levels of care diligently coordinating and linking clients to external services or community agencies when required.
- Act as a trusted resource and liaison for youth adults and families by collaborating with community providers schools and related local agencies to support smooth service planning treatment and discharge.
Compliance EMR Integrity & Operational Excellence
- Maintain precise up-to-date case documentation in strict accordance with the State of New Jersey and organizational Outpatient Standards.
- Enter clinical progress notes and collateral information into the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system on the same day care is delivered.
- Submit accurate daily billing logs within the EMR in alignment with established agency performance and productivity targets.
- Perform periodic chart audits and implement constructive corrective actions to ensure total regulatory compliance.
- Manage daily scheduling efficiently to ensure all therapeutic sessions begin and end precisely on time.
Position Requirements
- Education: Possession of a Masters degree in Counseling Social Work or Psychology from an accredited institution.
- Licensure: Active verifiable New Jersey State license in good standing as a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) or Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC).
- Clinical Experience: In-depth clinical experience or intensive internship training working with children adolescents and adults presenting with various psychiatric and behavioral health issues.
- Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional active listening verbal and written communication skills. Proven ability to build meaningful rapport with a diverse client base and professional colleagues.
- Problem-Solving & Agility: Strong ability to multi-task solve complex problems under administrative supervision and maintain composure in a fast-paced outpatient environment.
- Group Facilitation & Leadership: Demonstrated competency or strong interest in initiating facilitating and managing clinical group discussions clarifying ideas and driving group interactions.
- Language Skills: Bilingual fluency in Spanish is required.
- Case Management & Availability: Demonstrated ability to independently manage an outpatient caseload of up to 30 clients effectively with the flexibility to work early evening hours to accommodate school-aged clients.
- Systems Knowledge: Familiarity with Medicaid documentation compliance and EMR workflows is highly preferred.
