Job Summary

Summary:

  • Dakota
  • 7 hours a day/Monday-Friday occasional evening hours as needed
  • Rate of pay is $37.28/HR
  • Grant funded positions

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree required; Masters degree preferred in Social Work Counseling Psychology Education Human Services or a related field.

  • Experience working with adolescents in school community mental health juvenile justice mentoring or youth-serving settings.

  • Demonstrated skill in de-escalation conflict resolution restorative practices relationship-building and student engagement.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with administrators counselors social workers teachers families and community partners. Ability to serve as a positive role model for students.

Duties:

  • Provide support to students experiencing academic social emotional behavioral attendance or engagement challenges.

  • Build trusting relationships with students and develop individualized support plans.

  • Assist with crisis response de-escalation and conflict mediation. Support re-entry planning following disciplinary incidents absences or other disruptions.

  • Monitor progress toward behavioral attendance and academic goals and adjust interventions as needed.

  • Collaborate with school teams to connect students with appropriate support and resources.

Preferred Experience:

  • School ounseling or social work
  • Restorative practices or PBIS implementation
  • Youth mentoring or case management
  • Community mental health or juvenile justice programs
