EESP Salary Schedule Rate Range:
- $26.46 - $30.41 per hour
- Will be updated per EESP CBA Salary Schedule 2026-2027
Assignment:
- Mon - Fri; 6.5 hours per day
- Duration: Temporary covering leave (ends upon primary employees return)
Benefits Include:
- I-1433 Sick Leave the employee will accrue at least one (1) hour of paid sick leave for every forty (40) hours worked.
- Washington Paid Family Medical Leave
Job Summary:
The person hired into this position will serve as a behavioral tech paraprofessional supporting students with behavioral needs based on their IEP with supervision from school administration and Inclusive Education certificated staff.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Meets NCLB definition of highly qualified requirements:
- A two-year Associate degree
- 72-quarter or 48-semester college credits or
- Received a passing score on one of the assessments approved by the PESB
- WSP/FBI fingerprint background clearance (fee paid by the employee)
- Regular attendance is an essential function of this position
- The safety and health of students and others is an essential function of this position
Preferred Qualifications:
- Work with students as directed by the classroom teacher BCBA and building level administration in the school setting to provide academic and behavioral support
- Provide support during classroom activities and field trips
- Safety Care trained or able to complete Safety Care training upon hire
- Follows the direction of the certificated teacher and BCBA
- Able to support the meeting of IEP goals and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP)
- Functional member of the building Inclusive Education team
- Seeks out strategies to improve student interactions
- Maintains schedule
- Reliable in demeanor attendance and collaboration
- Positive and flexible attitude with students staff parents and community members
- Willingness to work toward successful demonstration of core competencies
- Must participate in the Fundamental Course Training to gain the necessary skills to perform this position
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Demonstrated competence in basic academic/communication skills appropriate to site assignment
- Other duties as assigned
