Before and Aftercare Director

Position Summary:

Okemos Community Education is seeking a dedicated and energeticSite Directorfor our Before and Aftercare program. The Site Director plays a vital role in creating a safe engaging and supportive environment for school-age children. This position requires strong leadership communication and organizational skills to ensure high-quality care and adherence to licensing standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and lead age-appropriate engaging activities
• Create a positive inclusive environment for students and families
• Maintain open and effective communication with parents and guardians
• Ensure compliance with all state licensing and program standards
• Maintain a clean organized and safe classroom environment
• Support students individual needs and promote positive behavior
• Perform other duties as assigned by program administration

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Minimum of480 hoursof experience working with school-age children in a licensed program
• Completion of at least15 clock hours1 semester or1.5 CEUsof documented school-age training
• Prior experience in a licensed childcare setting specifically with school-age children
• Flexible and reliable work schedule
• Strong interpersonal leadership and organizational skills
