Amaterra Kitchen & Social Club is seeking an energetic hospitality-driven Bartender to join our team. The Bartender is responsible for creating exceptional guest experiences through knowledgeable beverage service craft cocktail preparation wine service and genuine hospitality. This role plays a key part in maintaining the welcoming and upscale atmosphere of our restaurant wine tasting room and social club while ensuring efficient bar operations and adherence to all service standards.

Responsibilities

Guest Service

  • Provide warm professional and engaging service to all guests.
  • Create memorable guest experiences through personalized recommendations and attentive service.
  • Build relationships with regular guests and members while maintaining a welcoming environment for all visitors.
  • Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly to requests concerns and special accommodations.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of food menus beverage offerings wines beers and specialty cocktails.

Beverage Preparation & Service

  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and presentation standards.
  • Execute craft cocktails with consistency accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Recommend wines cocktails and beverage pairings to complement menu selections.
  • Ensure responsible alcohol service and verify guest age in accordance with Oregon liquor laws.
  • Monitor guest alcohol consumption and address service concerns professionally and appropriately.

Bar Operations

  • Maintain a clean organized and fully stocked bar throughout service.
  • Prepare garnishes mixers syrups and other bar ingredients as needed.
  • Participate in opening closing and side work duties.
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to management.
  • Assist with receiving stocking and rotating beverage inventory.
  • Ensure proper handling and storage of all products.

Team Collaboration

  • Work closely with servers hosts kitchen staff and management to deliver seamless guest experiences.
  • Support fellow team members during busy service periods.
  • Participate in pre-shift meetings training sessions and ongoing education programs.
  • Promote a positive respectful and team-oriented work environment.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Must be a United States citizen or possess a valid work permit.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends holidays and evenings as needed.
  • Minimum 12 years of bartending experience in an upscale restaurant wine bar hotel or similar hospitality environment preferred.
  • Must possess or obtain a valid OLCC Service Permit and Oregon Food Handler Card.
