About the Position
Terreno is looking for friendly energetic Bartenders to join our Food & Beverage team! If you enjoy creating a welcoming atmosphere and providing exceptional service wed love to have you join our team. As a Bartender youll play an important role in creating an enjoyable dining and social experience for Terreno residents and their guests. Youll be responsible for preparing and serving beverages taking orders providing knowledgeable and attentive service maintaining a clean and organized bar area and ensuring every guest feels welcomed and well cared for throughout their visit.

Job purpose

To provide an excellent guest drinking experience. Able to mix and match ingredients in order to create classic and innovative drinks in accordance with customers needs and expectations.

Duties and responsibilities

• Prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages.
• Interact with customers take orders and serve snacks and drinks.
• Assess customers needs and preferences and make recommendations.
• Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails.
• Plan and present bar menu.
• Check customers identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age.
• Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies.
• Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience.
• Comply with all food and beverage regulations.

Qualifications

• Proven working experience as a bartender
• Excellent knowledge of in mixing garnishing and serving drinks
• Computer literacy
• Knowledge of a second language will be considered a plus
• Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
• Ability to keep the barorganized stocked and clean
• Relevant training certificate

Working conditions

Work is primarily indoors with some outdoor exposure to sharp and rapid equipment movement sharp utensils harmful chemicals and/or being exposed to flying golf balls.

Physical requirements

Good organizational and verbal skills. Ability to use logical and rational thinking to resolve issues. Ability to perform basic mathematical skills monitors and develops subordinates visually monitor the operation areas write and read member communication.

Must have the ability to perform moderate physical work and may be required to lift up to 40 lbs. up to 30 lbs. frequently. Perform activities such as bending kneeling crouching climbing reaching standing pushing lifting and grasping for up to 5 hours without sitting. Ability to consistently lift carry and load equipment that may weigh 40 or more pounds and sustain aerobic activity for 20 consecutive minutes.

Please be advised that all work that requires the use of a ladder more than 8 ft. long must be reviewed by Hampton Golfs Club Maintenance person. Following an assessment of the situation a determination will be made as to whether a maintenance team member or subcontractors will perform the necessary maintenance task. No other staff member is authorized to climb to heights exceeding 8 ft. and/or perform such addition personnel are prohibited from entering facility attics walking on the roof of buildings and/or from using scaffolding.
