Job Summary
Wallkill Golf Club located in Middletown NY is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a Part-Time Bartender! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn contribute and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.
- Stock bar mix and serve alcoholic beverages assist in cost control inventory and maintain inventory records
- Assist department leaders with creation of seasonal cocktails and development of menu
- Assist department leaders with social media schedule and creation of content
- Maintain inventory control through conscientious use and careful monitoring of all food and beverage products; communicate with management in a timely manner when supplies are needed
- Ensure compliance with applicable state liquor laws and standard operating procedures provided by management
- Communicate guest requests and concerns to the Department Manager
- Perform opening and closing duties including inventory cash control cleaning and restocking
- Accountable for checks and cash transactions; utilize Point of Sale system
- Review banquet schedule for changes calendar of events and special events
- Serve catered parties from service or portable bars
- On occasion serve meals to guests
- Incorporate safe work practices in job performance
- Regular and reliable attendance
- Perform other duties as required
- High school diploma or GED; and one to three months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience in restaurant point-of-sale systems (e.g. POSITOUCH and MICROS)
- Knowledge of wine spirits beer and current trends in the industry and marketplace
- Knowledge of cocktail recipes
- Professional and courteous demeanor
- Strong commitment to company values
- Exceptional personal hygiene and positive representation of the organization to Troon employees clients and vendors
- Fluent in English speaking writing and understanding
- Must meet state age requirements for handling alcoholic beverages
