Bartender

Atkinson Resort and Country Club located in Atkinson NH is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for both Full-Time and Part-Time Bartenders! General Purpose:

Makes and serves guests delicious beverages in accordance with established standards and with hospitality and professionalism. Creates memorable dining experiences through personalized and genuine interactions.

Essential Duties:

• Stocks bar mixes and serves alcoholic beverages assists in cost control inventory and maintains inventory records.

• Assists department leaders with creation of seasonal cocktails and development of menu

• Assists department leaders with Social Media schedule and creation of content

• Maintains inventory control through conscientious use and careful monitoring of all food and beverage products. Communicates with management in a timely manner when supplies are needed.

• Ensure compliance with applicable state liquor laws and standard operating procedures provided by the management.

• Communicates guest requests and concerns to the Department Manager.

• Performs opening and closing duties which include but are not limited to inventory cash control cleaning and restocking.

• Accountable for checks and cash transactions. Utilizes Point of Sales System.

• Reviews banquet schedule for changes calendar of events and special events.

• Serve catered parties from service or portable bars.

• On occasion will serve meals to guests.

• Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.

• Regular and reliable attendance.

• Performs other duties as required.

Minimum Requirements:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Requirements:

Experience in restaurant point-of-sale (POS) systems (e.g. POSITOUCH and MICROS)

Physical Demands:

Frequently stands walks talks hears and uses hands. Regularly reaches with hands and arms. Occasionally climbs balances stoops kneels crawls crouches; tastes smells and sits. Frequently lifts up to 25 pounds. Occasionally may lift up to 50 pounds.

Certificates/Licenses:

ServSafe Certified (Food & Alcohol) or TIPS equivalent.

Job Knowledge Skill and Ability Preferences:

• Knowledge of wine spirits beer and current trends in industry and marketplace

• Possesses the knowledge of cocktail recipes

• Professional and courteous demeanor

• Demonstrate a strong commitment to company values

• Exceptional personal hygiene and positive representation of the organization to Troon employees clients and vendors

• Fluent in English speaking writing and understanding

• Must meet state age requirements for handling alcoholic beverages
