Barista

A Barista Employee creates a welcoming environment for customers by preparing quality beverages and food items providing exceptional customer service and maintaining a clean organized work environment. Baristas work as part of a team to deliver exceptional service while upholding company standards.

Prepares and serves cold and hot beverages such as sodas coffee blended coffee and tea to patrons; correctly customizes orders as requested.

Describes product details to customers.

Receives and processes customer payments.

Serves prepared foods and baked goods including sandwiches biscotti muffins or bagels.

Ensure customer service stations are properly stocked with paper products or beverage preparation items.

Cleans and sanitizes all equipment utensils dishes and work areas.

Cleans and sanitizes service and seating areas.

Ensures proper functioning of freezers refrigerators and heating by routinely checking temperatures in that equipment.

Stocks supplies or retail products; may be asked to assist in daily inventory or receive products as directed.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to follow all safe food handling procedures and sanitation practices.

Good memory to manage multiple orders simultaneously and recall faces names and preferences of frequent patrons.

Ability to serve customers quickly efficiently and kindly.

Must successfully complete training in food preparation food service skills and customer service procedures.

Must be able to obtain (BIA) food handlers card within 2 weeks of employment with receipt for reimbursement from the Company

Must be able to lift-up to 50 pounds at times.

Must be available to work variable shifts: early mornings evenings weekends and holidays.

Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time crouch and bend throughout shift for 8.5 hours a day
