Position Overview

The Barback supports bartenders by maintaining a clean organized and well-stocked bar while helping ensure smooth and efficient operations. This role plays an important part in delivering a seamless and elevated guest experience by anticipating needs and supporting the bar team throughout service.

What Youll Do

Bar Support & Operations

• Stock the bar with liquor glassware ice and necessary supplies before and during service
• Replenish garnishes mixers and ingredients to keep service running smoothly
• Assist bartenders with service needs to maintain efficiency during peak periods

Cleanliness & Organization

• Maintain cleanliness of bar areas equipment and service stations
• Remove empty glassware and clear surfaces promptly
• Ensure all bar areas remain organized and presentation-ready

Opening & Closing Duties

• Assist with bar setup prior to service and breakdown at the end of shifts
• Restock and prepare the bar for the next service period

Safety & Compliance

• Follow all safety sanitation and alcohol service standards
• Maintain compliance with TABC and hotel policies

Additional Responsibilities

• Perform other duties as assigned to support bar and hotel operations
• Maintain reliable and consistent attendance as an essential function of the role

What Youll Bring

Education & Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Previous bar or restaurant experience preferred

Skills and Abilities

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks
• Ability to stand for extended periods during shifts
• Flexible schedule including nights weekends and holidays
• Professional appearance and adherence to grooming standards

Licenses or Certifications

• TABC Certification required
