Backend Software Engineer | Hybrid + Equity | SaaS Outage Intelligence Startup

As a Backend Software Engineer you will build and improve the services that process real time outage data for enterprise customers.

You will design and ship backend features write Python code build and maintain services analyze data troubleshoot production issues and improve the software and operational stack.

This is a hands on engineering role for someone who enjoys solving problems working with data and owning meaningful pieces of a production system.

Responsibilities include:

Design build and ship backend features and services.

Write and maintain backend Python code.

Build and maintain services that communicate through APIs and message queues.

Work with real time outage data and data intensive systems.

Identify and implement improvements across the software and operational stacks.

Investigate debug and resolve production issues.

Perform detailed data analysis and build reports.

Participate in technical design discussions and code reviews.

Write tests and documentation for the systems you build.

Qualifications :

2 years of professional backend software engineering experience.

Experience building or maintaining backend services that communicate through APIs or message queues.

Experience debugging and resolving issues in production environments.

Ability to break down technical problems ask good questions and propose solutions.

Strong sense of ownership and attention to detail.

Excited to work in a startup environment with changing priorities and meaningful individual ownership.

Experience working at a startup and/or a strong desire to work in an entrepreneurial environment.

Preferred Technical Experience

Strong proficiency with Python 3 PostgreSQL experience.

Experience with AMQP or message brokers such as RabbitMQ or Kafka.

Experience working in Kubernetes environments.

Experience building or supporting real time or high volume data pipelines.

Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field.
